Durand Cup 2026: Schedule, Teams, Venues, and TV Coverage

The 135th Durand Cup kicked off on July 25 with the Kolkata derby featuring East Bengal FC and Mohun Bagan Super Giant. This year, 24 teams are competing across five cities from July 25 to August 23, making it one of the largest editions of Asia's oldest football tournament.

Kolkata serves as the main hub, hosting matches at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Kishore Bharati Krirangan. The city will see two group stage rounds, the opening game, two quarterfinals, a semifinal, and the final.

Other host cities include Ranchi, Imphal, Guwahati, and Shillong. Ranchi is debuting as a venue, with the Birsa Munda Stadium holding group matches between July 26 and August 16 plus a quarterfinal. Imphal’s Khuman Lampak Stadium hosts games from July 28 to August 17 and one quarterfinal. Shillong’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium stages fixtures from July 31 to August 20 and one semifinal. Guwahati’s Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium features group-stage games from August 1 to 13.

When Does Durand Cup 2026 Start?

The tournament began on July 25 and will conclude with the final on August 23.

The lineup includes record 17-time champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant and 16-time winners East Bengal FC, both competing in Kolkata groups alongside Mohammedan SC, South United FC, CISF Protectors, and newcomers Baghpat FC and Samaleswari Sporting.

Jamshedpur FC, Sporting Club Delhi, and Indian Air Force compete in Ranchi with Sri Lanka's Defenders FC.

TRAU FC, NEROCA FC, and Indian Navy play in Imphal joined by debutants FC Raengdai, last season’s I-League 3 runners-up.

Shillong Lajong FC, Langsning FC, Nongkseh SS&CC, and new entry Mumbay FC represent Shillong.

Defending champions NorthEast United FC lead the Guwahati group with FC1, Bodoland FC, and Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC.
