Gianluigi Donnarumma and Pregnant Partner Threatened During Home Invasion
In July 2023, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his then-pregnant partner, Alessia Elefante, faced a frightening home invasion at their luxury apartment on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
Recent court proceedings revealed chilling details of the incident. The couple, now married and parents, were reportedly bound, assaulted, and threatened with a knife by robbers who entered their home while they were asleep.

The goalkeeper was awakened by an intruder whispering "shh" before being struck in the face with a knuckle duster and threatened with a knife. The attacker demanded watches, repeating, "The watches, the watches." Donnarumma showed him an Audemars Piguet watch on a dressing table, a luxury brand worth hundreds of thousands of euros.
Elefante described being woken by thieves who attacked her and shouted, "The money, the watches." She gave them a Cartier watch, jewelry, and about €2,000 in cash. When asked for the safe code, she denied knowing it and claimed it was empty. The robbers grew angry, pulled her hair, and struck her thighs despite her telling them she was pregnant.
Donnarumma later gave the safe code, confirming the safe was empty. The robbers fled with luxury handbags, cash, watches, and keys to a Mercedes and a Lamborghini.
How the Robbery Was Carried Out
Police believe the four assailants climbed onto the roof using a ladder, lowered themselves onto the balcony, and broke in through a window. Two men, Ilyas Kherbouch, 21, and Khyan Mamouni, already imprisoned, are accused of planning the robbery from jail.
Kherbouch, who has over 11 prior convictions and escaped custody briefly in March, disrupted the trial by insulting and threatening officers.
Aftermath
Neither Donnarumma, who was playing for Paris Saint-Germain during the attack, nor his partner are expected to testify. Their lawyers say the couple remains deeply shaken by what happened.
