Court McGee Shares Why UFC 332 Will Be His Last MMA Fight

Court McGee, a seasoned UFC welterweight, has opened up about why he chose UFC 332 as the final chapter in his MMA career. McGee has been competing in the UFC since 2010, when he captured victory on Season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter.

This Saturday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, McGee will face off against Eric Nolan in the opening preliminary fight of the UFC 332 event.

Reasons Behind McGee's Retirement Decision

The 41-year-old fighter from Utah had already made it clear that this would be his farewell fight. Now, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com, McGee elaborated on what led him to this choice.

"Yeah, it’s a retirement fight, but I knew it a couple of years ago when I signed this four-fight deal, so I knew it was coming to an end, and I felt confident with it. Before that, with the neck injury, I thought I was done and I was going to leave a fight on the table, and after fulfilling that last one, I hadn’t felt that good in years. I feel really good. I feel really healthy, but I’m 41 and I’ll be turning 42 this year. Like they say, it’s a young man’s sport, and I want to make sure I have my wits about me when I’m done. I have three kids; I’m married. I have a gym. There’s a lot of life ahead of me after 40. I feel good about my decision. I made that decision with those who are close to me, and I’m OK with it. I’ve made peace with it," McGee said.

McGee Faces Underdog Status Against Eric Nolan

According to current betting lines for UFC 332, McGee enters the cage as a +190 underdog while Eric Nolan is favored at -225.

  • Eric Nolan's UFC record: 0-2
  • Nolan's advantages: Younger age, greater durability, more knockout power
  • McGee's strengths: Exceptional cardio, strong wrestling skills, fan support

Despite the odds leaning towards Nolan, McGee’s experience and stamina make this matchup compelling. Fans will be watching closely to see how the veteran performs in his final outing.
