Chelsea’s Increased Valuation

The west London club recently raised Neto's valuation after tracking market trends. Having signed Neto from Wolves for £54 million in 2024, Chelsea now demands nearly double that amount. Their stance is influenced by landmark deals like Real Madrid’s purchase of Yan Diomande for up to £120 million and the high fees linked to Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola, Liverpool’s target.

Amid speculation, Neto played a key role in Chelsea’s final pre-season match against Real Sociedad, which ended in a 3-1 victory. Manager Xabi Alonso expressed satisfaction with the preparation, saying:

“It was a very good last preparation game. For some players it was the first one and the last one. For us, there were some good things, some things we can improve. It’s normal at this moment for some players. It was great to have all the team together.”
