Top 4 Free Agent Strikers Manchester United Could Sign Following Sesko Injury
Benjamin Sesko’s injury problems have left Manchester United uncertain about their striking options after the international break. The Slovenian forward has been sidelined from his national team’s upcoming matches, which adds to the club’s concerns as they try to improve their Premier League form.
So far, Michael Carrick’s squad has managed only five points from 15 in the league. Sesko missed the trip to Fulham, forcing Matheus Cunha to step in as a makeshift centre-forward. Cunha typically excels on the left wing, while Sesko had contributed 11 league goals last season as the main striker. Unfortunately, a recurring shin injury has disrupted Sesko’s progress.

The injury first forced him out of the last three matches of the previous season and also kept him out of pre-season training. Sesko took to Instagram to express his regret about missing games for Slovenia:

Manchester United confirmed that Sesko will undergo fitness tests this week before setting up an individual recovery plan.

Although Cunha, Marcus Rashford, and Bryan Mbeumo can all fill the centre-forward role, each prefers different positions where they perform better. Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkzee has fallen out of favour under Carrick after failing to secure a transfer this summer.
