Besiktas Final Offer for Mohamed Salah: Istanbul Move Awaits Decision

Besiktas have pushed their pursuit of Mohamed Salah as far as they are prepared to go. Now they wait.

Club president Serdal Adali has confirmed that the Turkish side have lodged what he called their “final official offer” for the former Liverpool star, placing the future of the proposed move firmly in the Egyptian’s hands.

For weeks, Besiktas have been circling. Talks with Salah and his camp have been ongoing, the Istanbul club trying to piece together a deal big enough to tempt one of the defining forwards of the modern era to the Super Lig.

“As has been published in the media, we have for some time been conducting negotiations with Salah and his representatives regarding the details of the deal,” Adali told Turkish outlet Ortacizgi, lifting the lid on a chase that has dominated their summer.

Those talks, he explained, have gone deep. Every demand, every clause, every detail has been pulled apart and put back together.

“In the final stage, we discussed the demands of the player and his representatives from all angles, and after mutual negotiations, we submitted our final official offer. We also asked them to inform us of their decision within a short period,” Adali said.

The message is clear: Besiktas have stretched as far as they believe they can without compromising the club’s position. There will be no bidding against themselves, no endless tweaking.

“While our transfer work continues at full force, this is the current situation regarding Salah,” Adali continued. “We have assessed the amendments requested since the start of the negotiations, in line with the club's interests, and we have submitted our final offer. Now the decision lies with the player.”

The chase has not come out of nowhere. Salah has been repeatedly linked with a move to Besiktas during the current window, his name surfacing again and again in Turkish and European reports as the club look for a marquee signing to anchor their attack and ignite their fanbase.

According to respected Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Besiktas have already reached an agreement on personal terms with Salah and his agent. The proposed deal would be a one-year contract, worth up to €12 million, a huge financial statement from a club intent on making a splash.

So Besiktas wait, their position set, their offer lodged.

The next move belongs to Mohamed Salah – and it will say a great deal about where he sees the next chapter of his career.
