Arsenal Extends Emirates Partnership to 2033

Arsenal have tied their future even more tightly to Emirates, announcing on Thursday a fresh long-term extension to one of football’s defining commercial relationships, now running all the way to 2033.

The deal secures the Emirates name on the front of Arsenal’s shirts, across their training kit and above the doors of Emirates Stadium for close to another decade. In an industry where sponsors come and go with every cycle, this is the opposite: a partnership that has become part of the club’s identity.

They first shook hands in 2006. Back then, the stadium was new, the team in transition, and the Premier League landscape very different. Since then, the Emirates logo has been a constant through title challenges, rebuilds, and now a return to the summit.

This renewal means Emirates will remain at the heart of the longest continuous shirt sponsorship in Premier League history. No other club in the division has worn the same primary sponsor for so long. The agreement now stretches to 2033, a timeline that underlines how deeply both sides are invested in the relationship.

The timing is no accident. Arsenal have just been crowned Premier League champions, a landmark moment that has sharpened the club’s appetite for more. Inside the Emirates boardroom, this contract is seen as a key plank in sustaining that momentum, providing the financial and strategic backing to keep the team competing at the very top and to strengthen operations off the pitch.

Chief executive Richard Garlick framed the extension as a natural continuation of a shared journey. Winning the league, he said, marked an exceptional chapter in Arsenal’s story, with Emirates positioned alongside the club throughout the ups and downs of the past two decades. For him, renewing now is a statement: both parties believe the next phase can be even more productive.

Garlick stressed that the new agreement is not just about keeping a logo on a shirt. It reflects a joint conviction about where Arsenal are heading and a common desire to turn recent success into something more enduring.

From the Emirates side, president Sir Tim Clark highlighted how the link with Arsenal has grown into something far beyond a conventional sponsorship. Over nearly 20 years, the airline and the club have built a platform that touches millions of supporters worldwide, blending branding with experiences that have helped Arsenal push deeper into global markets.

Clark pointed to initiatives and fan-focused projects that neither organisation could have delivered alone. The partnership has amplified Arsenal’s reach, while giving Emirates a powerful, emotionally charged presence in one of the world’s most watched leagues. The airline, he made clear, is hungry to keep adding chapters to that shared story.

The anniversary will not pass quietly. Over the coming weeks, Arsenal and Emirates will celebrate 20 years together with a programme of events and activities for supporters, designed to tap into the nostalgia and the milestones of the partnership. Central to that will be a new promotional film, revisiting the standout moments of the relationship and featuring former defender and club favourite Per Mertesacker, now a prominent figure in Arsenal’s academy setup.

This new phase begins in fitting fashion: on the pitch, under the stadium lights. Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup at Emirates Stadium, a fixture that will double as a celebration of the renewed deal and the two-decade bond. For a club that has spent years aligning its footballing ambitions with its commercial strength, the message is clear.

Arsenal are champions again. Emirates are staying on the ride. The next question is how far this partnership can push the club in the decade to come.
