2026-27 Bundesliga Season Start and Fixtures Announcement
The German Bundesliga for the 2026-27 season is set to begin on August 9, starting a bit earlier than usual. The campaign will wrap up on May 22, 2027, extending one week later than typical seasons.
Fixtures Release Date
The full schedule for both the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga was made public on July 2. While matchweeks are outlined, exact match days and kick-off times remain flexible. These details depend heavily on TV arrangements, European competitions, and the DFB-Pokal tournament.
International Breaks for 2026-27
This season introduces some changes in international breaks. Instead of three separate one-week pauses in autumn, there will be a two-week break and a single one-week break. No league fixtures will take place during the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. Additionally, there’s a pause on the weekend of March 27.
German Clubs in European Competitions
Seven German teams will compete across UEFA tournaments next season: four in the Champions League, two in the Europa League, and one in the Conference League. Fans can follow the schedules for each competition to plan accordingly.
